BURN

Burn See, anyone can start a fire, darling, but how are you going to keep it alight? What will you don when it dies down? Just start another one and another and another? Do you have enough tinder, dearest, enough matches in your back pockets? Will you stay and light a cigarette, watch the embers glow as the sparks dance? Let’s roast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate in the open, under a blanket of stars. Stay with me tonight. But do me a favor will you, my love? When you leave, douse me with water, lest I be the cause of a wildfire. Bury me in the sand. Forget me. I will be okay. Just think of the trees. -Danabelle Gutierrez, & Until the Dreams Come Hair & Make-up: The Louise Monique Photography: Studio by The Louise Monique Model: Marix

Make-up in Black & White

“To see in color is a delight for the eye but to see in black and white is a delight for the soul.” – Andri Cauldwell I’ve always been fascinated with black and white photos. That’s why when Ryk shared these photos to me, I told myself, I have to post this even if it doesn’t highlight my make-up work – maybe it does? I’m not too sure but I love it anyway and I’ve got a batch of colored photos coming up so let’s say that this post is a teaser for that. 😉 Itsoura together with The Bridal Showroom, The Flower Market and myself collaborated for this styled shoot. In this post, you can see that I’ve done 2 looks: a very soft and bridal look and transition to something bold & edgy. Honestly, we just played around and let the creative juice flow. Sometimes, it’s best to just go with it, let creativity take you to places you’ve never been and make you do things you’ve never done.      Film Photography: …

The Power of Make-up: Faux Freckles

The Power of Make-up; How I change Emma’s look from flawless to flawsome! Some of you might have noticed that I mainly work with Emma, the reason behind that is first, she’s my favourite girl. Second, she has phenomenal facial features. Third, she’s an upcoming model here in Dubai and lastly, I want to show her face in different types of make-up and see how make-up could change one’s look. In this shoot, I’ve done a very simple & fresh make-up but I’ve also added faux freckles on her. Yes! those freckles aren’t real. 🙂 Photo Credits to: Enchanté Studios Comment below if you liked her look and if you want to suggest a different look for Emma. xxx Louise Monique
